Hi Arlene,
Just wanted to let you know I am OK! My twisted colon emergency surgery, taking out 14 inches of my colon last year with a 2 week yucky stay in the hospital, and then months and months of pain in my abdomen area until it calmed down with the right diet and medications. During that time I could not use my abdomen muscles area when doing just light exercising, but I did do your “Arlene Tai Chi” forward and backwards walking a lot and that helped me. Now I continue to do your Tai Chi walking along with , Physical Therapy learned stretches, and very beginning yoga movements and this seems to be the best for me right now. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TAI CHI WALKING! Will be doing that the rest of my life. Perhaps I will try Tai chi again but right now this is working for me. I spent a lot of time with the Physical Therapist’s at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab – and they liked your tai chi walking and told me to continue that daily. …..Hope you are doing well and enjoying life! See you around church! Karen
Karen,
I’m glad to hear you’re doing SO well. You’ve been through a lot and keep determined to be healthy in mind and spirit.
I love that Tai Chi walking is so helpful for you and your doctor is reinforcing that. YES, to a life-long wonderful practice! Thanks for letting me know and if I can be helpful with any gentle tai chi moves, let me know
