Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Magenta and Green, all colors I see when I walk out my door and stroll down the street. Spring has finally come, after days and weeks of yearning for and anticipating the wonderful appeal of nature to all of our senses. . . hearing the birds chirping, smelling the magnolias, gazing at the long-stem tulips, tasting the local, bright green asparagus, hearing the Farmers’ Markets are about to open.
It’s a time of outside, a time of sunshine, a time of nature springing forth with new life, particularly with the new green buds and leaves starting to adorn the trees. The trees have been busy for months, mostly within the earth, outside of our view. So when they are ready to blossom, which is now, they call us to pay attention. Look at the yellow, red and orange tulips, the uniqueness of each petal, the gracefulness they convey.
Let’s be intentional — look around and notice the abundance of new life, right now. Take part in it. There might be some newness in our own lives that is ready to blossom, if we are open and pay attention.
