Connecticut. . . the coast line. . .green trees. . . red, yellow and purple flowers — that’s where I’m headed tomorrow. A week of focused Tai Chi study, balanced with a week of walking by the water and paying attention to the sounds and sights of the northeast.
I like the anticipation before a trip, getting away from the every day routine, a new pace and rhythm and knowing that a brief conversation with a new Tai Chi friend or experience walking along the water, will bring fresh insights, something new.
How important it is to be in a new environment, taking time to rest and rejuvenate, taking time to just have fun and enjoy, taking time to bring in the unexpected.
Taking time to study and move with like-minded Tai Chi practitioners will be calming, and energizing, and joyful for me. Plus, I will take time to share the sunshine with beautiful red and yellow flowers.
Where do you go to re-energize and experience joy of seeing, hearing, tasting new experiences? Where will you venture out to this summer?
