A stone Qilin at the Shaolin Monastery in Dengfeng county, Zhengzhou, Henan provence, China. This is the home of the Shaolin monks, known for their kung fu fighting and amazing feats of strength and flexibility.
This is an excellent example of Qi being rooted in the feet, moving up through the legs and directed by the waist.
Weight transfers left, then right, holding a light ball of energy. With all weight on right, left leg steps forward; weight shifts 70% to forward leg; waist turns to the front and right heel pivots so toes move forward to 45% angle.
Left arm and hand directly face the chest, as if holding an energy ball. Right hand is by leg, staying energized.
